When Dana Bash confronted Mike Rogers on CNN this morning with video of Trump calling Dr. Abdul El-Sayed a ‘jihadist’, he deflected and lied about what El-Sayed said before attacking the press. The original question, suffice it to say, was not answered.
Before you watch this video, be sure to watch the Tommy Teepell dog-walk video where El-Sayed says clearly before witnesses that he disavows the Muslim Brotherhood.
Mike Rogers, who is a Republican politician and therefore a liar, needs hearing aids I guess. Here’s the piece of the transcript where El-Sayed clearly answers Teepell’s question.
TT: I have one simple question. Will you disavow the Muslim Brotherhood?
AES: Sure, yeah, absolutely.
Memo to Mike Rogers: The words “sure, yeah, absolutely” mean what they say.
Of course, Rogers is simply telling us not to believe what we hear with our own ears, but to believe only what he tells us to believe.
Rogers also spent some time in a different part of the interview claiming that Dr. El-Sayed had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a claim which is really just another lie, because there’s no evidence whatsoever of those ties.
It’s all just pure islamophobia, just like Trump calling him a “jihadist.”
Which brings us to this part of Rogers’ interview with Dana Bash, where she brings up the dog walk.
