In response to a Sunday poll which found nearly three out of five Americans believe the economy was better under President Joe Biden than President Donald Trump, an anti-Trump Republican wrote that the current president is “such a loser” — and Trump’s supporters were promptly triggered.
“Trump is such a loser,” wrote Rick Wilson, the co-founder of the anti-Trump Republican group The Lincoln Project, wrote on X on Wednesday. He included a blurb from a recent Harris Poll which found that 59 percent of Americans believe the economy was better under Biden.
“That’s the best you can come with you f – – – retard?” replied an X user called Zippy-T. “Don’t you have a Never Trumpers d – – – to suck you piece of s – – -?”
Meanwhile an X user who goes by Warren posted an image of Trump holding an American flag with the caption “Patriots are in control.” He then added “Waaaahhhhh!!! Cry harder, sissy!!”
Jon Powers, another X user, posted an image of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries screaming and then wrote, “Oh (P)Rick, You’re such a buffoon. I‘ll let your buddy HACKeem explain what you’re doing right now…”
An X user called “The Tenth Crusade” wrote that Trump is “a billionaire and president of the greatest nation on the planet. Who are you?”
Meanwhile an X user called Chulas wrote “Where in the f – – – did you come from?? What planet?? Eggs ere 6.00 a dozen when Biden was in office!! He almost bankrupted us by letting in 29 million unvetted losers who laid back while us taxpayers paid for hotels cars food transportation etc!! Then they turned around and f – – – – – – stole billions from us!! You’re f – – – – – – stupid!!!”
In response to the post by Chulas, an X user called Glenn Joseph wrote “Yes tell that p – – – -.”
Schmidt has a long history of criticizing Trump. In June he told journalist Molly Jong-Fast that “everyone is surprised that Donald Trump is at Camp David because the exact quote, before, was, ‘I get f–– bored there in 30 minutes.’ Trump does not like Camp David…. I think he’s been there, in this administration, never. And I think he went once or twice in the previous (administration). So, this is either the second or third time that I can recall.”
Wilson added, “What’s curious about the whole thing, Molly…. There is a degree to which I am very curious.”
One month earlier, Wilson explained how Trump primaried against a Republican senator who had usually voted with him, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, because Cassidy voted to impeach Trump after his coup attempt following his loss in the 2020 presidential election.
“Bill Cassidy should have known that the minute he voted to impeach Trump after January 6, (2021), that he would never be forgiven,” Wilson wrote. “And Trump is a terrible president. He’s deeply, wildly unpopular in the country. He is failing in every axis. But Molly, he still has a hypnotic control over the Republican base — and they are going to go out and do what he tells them.”
Similarly, in March, Wilson blasted Trump for lying to Americans in his ongoing suppression of files related to the president’s past longtime friendship with the convicted child sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein.
“In it, Trump’s attorney at the time, Alan Garten, I believe, is the name, revealed a few small things,” Wilson said at the time. “One of which is that Trump never threw Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago.”
