“It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool than to talk and remove all doubt of it.” — Sage advice that Ken Paxton has clearly never taken to heart.

During a Corpus Christie rally last night, as he prepares to go head-to-head with his beloved Democratic challenger James Talarico in the Texas Senate race, Attorney General turned MAGA Senate Candidate Ken Paxton was attempting to wrap up his remarks when he told the crowd that, on July 4th, “we celebrated something pretty cool.”

“We celebrated the 200th anniversary of our country,” he bragged.

The only problem? He was off by a whole half a century.

In fact, the United States of America actually turned 250 years old on this year’s Independence Day. Everyone, including Paxton, should certainly know as much, considering the absolute mockery his own Dear Leader Donald Trump attempted to make out of it as he tried like hell to turn this nation’s birthday into a MAGA clusterfuck.
