[[{“value”:”One of the best things about visiting a good Italian restaurant is the intense focus on freshness and quality, from the smallest salad ingredient to the al dente pasta, freshly-baked bread, and more. These restaurants take immense pride in making their sauces in-house from scratch, and diners absolutely notice the attention paid to every element that makes these dishes so special. Bad or cheap sauce can ruin the whole meal, but luckily there are several spots where the food is outstanding: Here are five Italian chains where the sauce is still made the old-fashioned way, fans say.

    Patrizia’s

Patrizia prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients for the most delicious food, and fans are obsessed. “For the main course, we shared fioretti boscaiola pasta in a rich, creamy mushroom and peas sauce, paired with a tomahawk steak cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into the food,” one diner said.

    Carrabba’s Italian Grill

The pomodoro and meat sauce at Carrabba’s Italian Grill are made from scratch every day. “Everything we had was delicious! Generous portions, hot mouth watering flavorful pastas and tasty crispy wings. Calamari and sauces and fried zucchini was amazing!” one diner raved.

    Olive Garden

Olive Garden diners love the made-from-scratch sauces in menu items like the Lasagna Classico, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Shrimp Alfredo, and more. “I’m a sucker for a good lasagna and this was worth it,” one fan said. “My friends ordered the Rigatoni with 5 cheese marinara, Baked Ziti, and egg plant parm. Had breadsticks and salad for the table as well as chicken gnocchi soup. Food was delicious all around.”

    Maggiano’s Little Italy

Maggiano’s Little Italy makes their sauce made in-house every day, and diners love the subsequent taste and quality of the food. “Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and rich, comforting flavors that truly reflect classic Italian-American cuisine done right,” one diner said. “Each dish was clearly prepared with care and attention to detail, and nothing felt rushed or overlooked.”

    Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano

Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano makes their delicious sauces in-house every day. “The Pasta: You honestly can’t go wrong here—all the pasta dishes are fantastic. Whether you’re going for a rich, hearty lasagna or a lighter seafood linguine, the flavors are authentic and the portions are generous,” one fan shared.
