Rebecca Cooke, Drunken Van Orden’s opponent, was doing the usual campaign things over the weekend, such as visiting American veterans at a breakfast event. She posted about it on Xitter and said she comes from a long line of veterans and that, if elected, she will fight to help them get and keep the benefits they deserve.
This was enough to set off DVO, who accused Cooke of using the vets as political props:
It wasn’t long before DVO was called out by James Wigderson, a Wisconsin native and a Never Trump type of Republican. Wigderson pointed out that DVO was a traitor, not a hero, because he participated in the insurrection. DVO shot back with a personal insult and a threat because that’s what insecure drunks do:
