Donald J. Trump took to Truth Social to lash out at the Supreme Court in a sprawling post after the justices declined to allow new restrictions on mail-in voting to take effect before the 2026 midterm elections.
Trump’s 463-word screed included his randomly capitalized words and his typical juvenile “Dumocrats” slam, which sounds like something from a 4chan shitpost.
“Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting “disaster,” which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM,” he wrote.
Trump called the ruling a major setback for Republicans and argued that it would make election cheating involving mail-in ballots easier. He praised Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito for dissenting, of course, while accusing other members of the Court of being unwilling to stand up to Democrats.
Trump also broadened his criticism to several other Supreme Court decisions, including rulings involving his administration’s tariffs and his effort to restrict birthright citizenship. He claimed those decisions would cause enormous financial and legal damage to the country, arguing that the Court has repeatedly issued rulings that undermine his administration and harm the United States.
