Shawn Fain, President of the United Auto Workers, has long been a thorn in Trump’s side. So much so that Trump called Fain “a stupid person” and “a weapon of mass destruction” to auto workers. Trump called for Fain to be fired and even had his Justice Department launch an investigation into Fain on some Trumped-up charges just months before Fain was up for reelection.

But it was all in vain for Trump. The UAW announced that Fain easily won his reelection, as did his entire slate.

“The membership has spoken,” Fain, who led the UAW through historic strikes against the Big Three Detroit automakers in 2023, said in a statement. “These results are about taking on corporate America and reversing the worst out-of-control wealth inequality in America’s history. We are fighting for the entire working class, whether that’s at the bargaining table, organizing new members, or in the political arena.”

You just know that with weeks to go before the midterms, Fain and other officers will be encouraging members to keep the momentum going by voting against Trump candidates across the nation.
