An inspection report commissioned by the contractor Donald Trump chose to renovate the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool last summer found that the blue coating applied to the bottom “failed in at least 85 places because of errors in the renovation,” as The Washington Post summed up. That’s far more than had been previously known.
In other words, it was Trump’s guy who spectacularly screwed up, not a vandal and definitely not the Olympian Donald Trump and henchwoman Jeanine Pirro tried to blame.
The Post went into great detail about the work failures by the contractor. But Trump’s role in the fiasco can’t be missed. The report “blames the problems on the use of improper materials and a rush to complete the job,” The Post said.
It was Trump who rushed the job. He wanted it done in time for the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration – yet another epic failure from him.
