According to a bombshell report from independent journalist Ken Klippenstein, the Trump-era Department of Justice has been cooking up a Hail Mary “contingency” plan to potentially directly intervene in the impending midterm elections if Democrats secure the predicted victories — and please make no mistake, this should terrify you.
Klippenstein spoke with three separate officials, all with inside knowledge of the discussions behind closed doors at the Trump Administration’s DOJ, who described the “doomsday” scenarios currently being mapped out by Justice Department leadership, ranging from foreign cyberattacks to unadulterated chaos at the polls. According to these officials, while these horrifying scenarios are most likely improbable, they are far from impossible.
One senior official said the quiet part out loud when speaking with Klippenstein: “Nobody knows what the president might do if the midterms don’t go his way.”
