Trump snapped at an NBC reporter for questioning his defense of Vivek Ramaswamy’s horrific ad against his Democratic opponent, Amy Acton, when her stepfather raped and abused her as a child.
“A mother is saying don’t put my daughter there because she’s a terrible person and she’s a liar,” Trump said. “Why shouldn’t somebody use that?”
“Does the sexual abuse allegations mean nothing to you?” a reporter asked. As Trump continued to talk, she asked again, “Does the sexual abuser allegations make no difference?”
Trump got angry, refusing to respond, and said, “Wait, if I, wait, wait, wait, wait, slow down.”
“It makes no difference to you?” she asked again. “Who are you with?”
“I’m with NBC, sir.”
“One of the worst networks you have –”
“–there are sexual abuse allegations –”
“Quiet!” Trump scolded.
“Isn’t she a fresh person? You’re a horrible little reporter aren’t you. If my mother said bad things about me, do you think the Democrats would put it up? I think so, but my mother thought I was wonderful.”
This is crazy, but the insanity didn’t stop there.
“This is a person, a mother, a smart woman I watch smart one,” he said.
Trump repeated the lies that Amy Acton’s mother said in the ad, as if they were true.
“Why wouldn’t you listen to a mother that says that? Why would you, Miss NBC?” he said. “Why wouldn’t you listen?”
