Ludicrous Lutnik Claims There ‘Haven’t Been American Deaths’ From The Iran War

Commerce Sec. Howard Lutnick was pumping up the Trump economy and claimed on CNBC Wednesday morning that, so far, there were no American deaths in our war against Iran, which is a complete fallacy.

Lutnick lives on CNBC and Fox Business and rarely faces pushback or repudiation for his bogus claims and rosy beliefs about the US economy.

Lutnick was asked about the problems with the US government bond markets and Bessent’s apparent intervention in it.

Trump supporter and CNBC host Joe Kerne asked about Bessent’s moves, but should have guessed his answer.

“Should we be worried, and in the agree with the Treasury’s move to intervene and maybe try to orchestrate a drop in the 30-year yield?” Kerne asked.

“I think the market will stabilize in a more positive way than people imagine,” Lutnick replied.

It’s a lack of imagination for all of Wall Street and every credible economist that’s the problem, not Trump’s policies. Gotcha!

Then came a classic Lutnik monologue. This one was so flagrant that Trump had to respond the next day.

LUTNICK: And the growth rate and the reduction in the deficit will not only stabilize the bond market, will bring rates down.

I think the way the president is playing Iran, right, there’s not there haven’t been American deaths.
