Fox’s Larry Kudlow went on another unhinged rant over the supposed dangers of socialized medicine during an interview with Ted Cruz, where Kudlow was encouraging Cruz and Republicans to run on how great the economy is supposedly doing right now.
Here’s Kudlow’s fear mongering where he completely ignores the fact that any tax increases would be replacing what people currently pay for insurance premiums, not stacked on top of it, and pretending it would be some sort of doomsday scenario if people’s health insurance were no longer tied to their employer.
KUDLOW: But here’s the thing, let’s go one more: Medicare for All. That is the Democratic calling card. Medicare for All, which means if you like your health care insurance, you’re gonna lose it. You will lose it.
So think about this. You’re in Michigan, okay, big race, Mike Rogers versus El-Sayed. You’re gonna lose your car, you’re gonna lose your truck, because they’re opposed to fossil fuels. You’re gonna lose your health insurance as well.
I mean, let’s be very clear, there are 160 million Americans with employer-based health insurance would be off the charts. They would lose it. That’s what Medicare-for-All would be.
The government would take over, and the cost, I don’t know, $50 trillion over 10 years is probably a lowball estimate. We have to pound, Senator, everybody should pound on Medicare-for-All.
