In a bombshell new interview with 60 Minutes, one Colorado Republican election official went for Donald Trump’s throat in a vicious attack against the president and his people’s “disinformation and lies” over the safety and security of elections in this country.
Matt Crane, head of the Colorado County Clerks Association, said in no uncertain terms that President Donald J. Trump is solely responsible for this country’s overall lack of trust in the voting system. At the head of Crane’s argument was Trump’s unwavering and particularly loud support for Mesa County clerk Tina Peters, who was convicted on four felony and three misdemeanor counts connected to election interference, after she “compromised” the Mesa County voter system in an unauthorized data breach in a pathetically desperate attempt to prove that Donald Trump had actually won the 2020 presidential election.
Peters was sentenced to nine years in prison for her crimes, but Governor Jared Polis commuted that sentence in May, so Peters served only two years.
But further still is the president’s unhinged “crackdown” and public attacks on voter fraud in this country that simply doesn’t actually exist.
