Speaker Mike Johnson was caught out when Fox News host Dana Perino challenged his assertions that the polls are wrong for the midterms, by asking why he’s stumping in Texas if Republicans are winning.
Perino began the interview by saying many insiders are saying the Republican-controlled House is gone.
She gave him a chance to respond.
“We’re excited. I’m in Texas today. We’ll do three events here, and then I’ll head, I think I’ve got eight states this week,” Johnson said. “I’ve been doing this for almost two years, and I’m telling you the polling is wrong.”
Johnson continued propping up Republicans by denouncing every poll in the country.
“Don’t buy it,” he said. “It feels like 2024 to me.”
Perino was not moved.
“If you were more on offense, do you think you would be in Texas?” she asked.
“Well, we are on offense, and we have swing districts in unusual places around the country,” he replied.
Johnson said he’s been to many states, but then let the cat out of the bag. “But in the deep red states, we’ve got to make sure that we defend the seats.”
The very wealthy are donating a ton of money to their cause, including scumbag Elon Musk who is putting up $270 million to try and save Republicans.
It’s disgusting. The Founding Fathers would be sickened by his efforts and would find a way to throw Musk in jail for attempting to buy Congress, circumventing the will of the electorate.
