During a campaign rally Monday in of all places deep red Belgrade, Montana, JD Vance blamed the skyrocketing costs of gas for the last fifty years on some tin pot dictators who throw tantrums.
Wow, that characterizes Trump’s war with Iran perfectly.
Vance’s defense to rallygoers of the high costs of fuel because of Trump’s economy and actions is hitting a lot of stumbling blocks and unforced errors.
First, Vance admitted that Russia attacking Ukraine caused the spike in gas prices in 2022, which is something Demented Donald does not want to hear.
VANCE: You will hear many say that gas prices are too high, that there’s still so much work to do on correcting the terrible Biden inflation, the highest inflation that we saw in 50 years in our country.
And I understand that. I agree with it.
But remember, in 2022, let’s just talk about gas prices. Remember in 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine and gas prices skyrocketed? They skyrocketed, by the way, far higher then than they are today.
They skyrocketed in 1979. They skyrocketed in 2001. They skyrocketed in 2007.
They skyrocket every time some tin pot dictator decides to throw a tantrum.

Trump had no cause to attack Iran, but he did and now the country pays the price for it.
