Conservative talk radio hosts beg GOP candidate to ‘stop saying dumb things’

Drive-time talk-radio hosts Nick Kayal and Dawn Stensland are begging a Republican candidate to either stop coming on their station or stop saying things that make her look worse to voters.

During their Monday morning show, conservatives Kayal and Stensland, along with ex-Green Party candidate Greg Stoker, complained about the political ads popping up during football games across Pennsylvania, the state’s Democratic Party flagged on X.

Stacy Garrity, who is running a long-shot race against popular Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro, is a frequent guest of 1210 AM WPHT out of Philadelphia. But it appears she’s not quite up to speed on the key issues that Americans care about just 49 days before the election.

Speaking to Dom Giordano, Garrity was asked in August about Flock cameras. She didn’t know what they were, the clip showed.

“So, tell me what they are,” she responded.

The host was forced to explain them to her and why they’re controversial. She then described the cameras as “another example of government overreach.”

By Monday, Aug. 31, she and the Pennsylvania Republican Party promoted her newfound position, WFMZ reported earlier this month.

“Flock cameras are everywhere. And Stacy Garrity wants to stop them,” the state GOP wrote on social media.

The problem is that it isn’t the first time she’s appeared confused about the issues.

In another interview last year, Garrity touted her love for AI data centers in rural Pennsylvania, saying that it meant more jobs.

“What perfect places to put data centers,” she championed.

Now that there is public backlash, she’s evolving, NPR reported, agreeing that a “pause” might be necessary, so that communities can “get their zoning right.”

It appears to be a main reason that conservatives are urging her to stay away from the cameras and microphones for a while.

“Can I give a little piece of advice to the Stacey Garrity campaign. Maybe stop coming on 1210 WPHT,” the morning show hosts said. “Because every interview you do with Dawn Stensland, Rich Zeoli—”

“Shapiro clips it!” a co-host piped up.

“Shapiro clips it and uses it against you!” his colleague agreed.

“At least they tag us properly,” another chimed in.

“So, maybe, maybe stop coming on our radio station or stop saying dumb things,” a co-host said.

“You know, Shapiro actually cites our station properly,” they went on, blasting Fox News for only calling Zeoli “radio host.” They noted that in Shapiro’s commercials, the conservative talk-show hosts were properly labeled.
