The Atlanta Braves announced a bevy of transactions with the reinstatement of infielder Ha-Seong Kim and catcher Sean Murphy from the injured list while adding outfielder Lane Thomas and pitchers Tyler Mahle and Brent Suter to the active roster. The latter three were the team’s trade additions prior to today’s deadline.
To make room on the 26-man roster, the team announced they had designated infielder Jorge Mateo for assignment and optioned pitchers James Karinchak and JR Ritchie to Triple-A Gwinnett.

It was eventful trade deadline around baseball today, although the Braves did not partake in a high-profile addition. The team added Thomas as a platoon outfielder, right-handed starter Mahle as a back-of-the-rotation arm and another lefty in the bullpen with Suter.
The team traded catcher Joey Bart and outfielder Eli White in separate transactions earlier today.
