Tate Southisene is rapidly becoming an extremely exciting prospect and it would not be a surprise if he was a consensus top 50 prospect in baseball to start 2027. That’s a fantastic return for what was a well-underslot pick in 2025 that enabled the team to go out and get prospects like Briggs McKenzie and Connor Essenberg in the later rounds, who are also looking extremely promising. Southisene becoming a top prospect in his own right while also enabling the acquisition of other top prospects is an absolute coup and seems to be the keystone to a very promising 2025 draft class for Atlanta.
