[[{“value”:”When it comes to Shrimp Alfredo, the best versions strike the right balance between rich, creamy sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and tender, well-seasoned shrimp. But some chain restaurants take the classic dish a step further with their own flavorful twists. “A great Shrimp Alfredo starts with perfectly cooked pasta coated in a rich, creamy sauce that has plenty of Parmesan flavor without becoming too heavy,” says  Dennis Littley, Chef and Culinary Expert at Ask Chef Dennis. “The shrimp should be tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just until done, giving the dish a satisfying seafood component that works beautifully with the buttery sauce.” From classic versions to seafood-packed variations, these are the chain restaurants Chef Dennis says do Shrimp Alfredo best.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill – Fettuccine Weesie

Carrabba’s doesn’t simply add shrimp to its Alfredo and call it a day. Fettuccine Weesie brings in mushrooms, scallions, garlic, and a white wine lemon butter sauce, giving the restaurant’s signature pasta a more complex profile. “Carrabba’s Fettuccine Weesie puts a seafood-forward spin on classic Alfredo with shrimp, mushrooms, garlic, and a lemon butter sauce,” says Chef Dennis. “The combination of tender shrimp, savory mushrooms, and bright lemon creates a dish that’s rich without feeling one-dimensional.”

Maggiano’s Little Italy – Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

If your idea of the perfect pasta night involves keeping things classic, Maggiano’s Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo makes a strong case for simplicity. The dish sticks to a familiar combination of shrimp, Parmesan, Pecorino Romano, and roasted garlic. “Maggiano’s Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo delivers the classic combination of tender shrimp and pasta tossed in a creamy Alfredo sauce,” Chef Dennis states. “It’s rich, comforting, and exactly the kind of hearty Italian-American dish that makes you want a basket of bread on the side.”

Brio Italian Mediterranean – Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine

Brio makes its version stand out by going beyond shrimp altogether. Its Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccine combines two seafood favorites with fresh fettuccine, roasted grape tomatoes, green onions, and a light cream sauce. According to Chef Dennis, “Brio takes the traditional creamy pasta up a notch by combining both lobster and shrimp with fettuccine.” He says, “The addition of two types of seafood gives the dish plenty of flavor while the creamy sauce ties everything together into an indulgent entrée.”

    Olive Garden – Shrimp Alfredo

There’s a reason Shrimp Alfredo has become one of those dishes people immediately associate with Olive Garden. The restaurant keeps its version focused on the essentials: fettuccine Alfredo with sautéed shrimp, making it a natural pick for diners who don’t want their order straying too far from the classic.”Olive Garden’s Shrimp Alfredo is a familiar favorite for good reason, pairing tender shrimp and fettuccine with the restaurant’s creamy Parmesan Alfredo sauce,” explains Chef Dennis. “It’s rich, comforting, and delivers the classic Italian-American flavors diners expect from a plate of Alfredo.”

Buca di Beppo – Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp

Buca di Beppo takes a different approach to the dish, making it easy to turn its Fettuccine Alfredo into a seafood entrée by adding shrimp. That flexibility also fits the restaurant’s larger-than-life, family-style dining experience, where pasta dishes are meant to be shared and passed around the table.
“Buca di Beppo’s Fettuccine Alfredo starts with creamy, cheesy pasta and allows you to add shrimp for a seafood upgrade,” says Chef Dennis. “The generous portions and rich sauce make it a particularly satisfying option when you’re feeding a hungry table.”
