[[{“value”:”Chicken Marsala is a classic Italian-American dish that combines chicken with mushrooms and a Marsala wine sauce. While it’s easy enough to make at home, several chain restaurants have made the dish a dependable part of their menus. Eat This, Not That! asked Therese Buchanan, home chef, food blogger & recipe developer at Tessie’s Table, which restaurants she recommends when you’re in the mood for Chicken Marsala.

    Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Carrabba’s Italian Grill has a menu built around Italian-American classics, with Chicken Marsala among its signature entrees. The dish is served with the restaurant’s choice of sides, making it a substantial option for a sit-down dinner. “Carrabba’s Chicken Marsala is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes for a reason,” says Buchanan. “The wood-grilled chicken adds another layer of flavor that you don’t always get with Chicken Marsala, while the mushrooms and Marsala wine sauce are rich without overpowering the chicken.”

    Maggiano’s Little Italy

Maggiano’s Little Italy takes a traditional approach to its Italian-American menu, with Chicken Marsala among its familiar chicken entrees. The restaurant is known for generous portions and classic dishes designed for a leisurely meal. According to Buchanan, “Maggiano’s Chicken Marsala has a rich, silky sauce with plenty of mushrooms in every serving.” She adds, “The chicken stays tender, and the Marsala wine adds just enough sweetness to balance the savory flavors without becoming too rich.”

    Olive Garden

Olive Garden’s menu includes several Italian-American chicken dishes, including its long-running Chicken Marsala. It’s one of the restaurant’s options for diners looking for a classic entree beyond its pasta dishes. “Olive Garden keeps its Chicken Marsala simple, with grilled chicken, mushrooms, and a generous spoonful of Marsala sauce,” explains Buchanan. “It’s a classic Italian-American dish that has remained a customer favorite for years.”

    Bravo! Italian Kitchen

If Chicken Marsala is what you’re craving, Bravo! Italian Kitchen has its own take on the classic. The dish is part of the chain’s lineup of Italian-inspired entrees. “Bravo’s Chicken Marsala has a lighter, more restaurant-style feel, with tender chicken and plenty of mushrooms in a well-balanced Marsala sauce,” Buchanan explains. “The sauce adds plenty of flavor without feeling overly rich, so the chicken remains the star of the dish.”

    Buca di Beppo

Buca di Beppo is known for its family-style approach, with Italian-American dishes designed to be shared or enjoyed as generous individual portions. Chicken Marsala is among the restaurant’s classic chicken entrees. “Buca di Beppo’s Chicken Marsala is loaded with mushrooms and served in a rich Marsala wine sauce that works well with the restaurant’s generous portions,” says Buchanan. “The sauce has plenty of depth, making it a great choice alongside pasta or roasted potatoes.”
