Technology is woven into every aspect of our daily lives. Whether you’re staring at a laptop at your desk or are constantly TikTok scrolling, it’s no secret that most people are addicted to tech. However, that fever has shown signs of breaking recently. Younger people are trying to imagine a world where they’re not constantly tethered to an electronic device, and older folks remember such a time fondly. If recent trends are any indication, shoppers of all ages may be doing their best to reduce their daily exposure to screens and non-stop notifications.

In a recent survey, 40% of respondents said that they have more daily interactions with people through a device than they do in real life. That’s a startling statistic, but one that may explain why there’s growing discontent with virtually 24/7 tech usage. While the same study showed that people are replacing their old devices when they wear out, most are not expanding their connected electronics collection, which is a shift from past consumer behavior. Although increasing prices for electronics components could be part of the explanation for this, it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Digital fatigue is real, and it appears to be spreading. This doesn’t mean, however, that all electronics are persona non grata. It just means that people are growing weary of being emotionally tethered to a screen for most of their day. Not only does it cause strain on your eyes and your neck, but the mental health effects of uninterrupted screen time throughout the day are well documented.

Some people are choosing to reduce this fatigue by disconnecting altogether. That’s not necessarily the most practical approach for many people, nor is it the only way to give yourself a breather. If, for example, you want to still get the fitness tracking benefits of a smartwatch, but wish to avoid the pings, vibrations, and general annoyance that come with constant notifications, we’ve found a solution. It’s called a fitness bracelet, and they’re rapidly gaining popularity. One model is available at Amazon at a considerable discount.

The Pjive Health and Fitness Smart Bracelet is a great option if you want to track your fitness goals without being strapped to yet another screen every day. This band can do just about everything that a traditional fitness or smartwatch can do, but without the anxiety-inducing distraction of a screen. It’s Bluetooth enabled, so it can send information to your smartphone, tablet, or any other device, allowing you to stay connected without feeling shackled. Because of its simple design, you can get a full 60 days of use out of it before you need to charge again. That’s one less task you’ll have to worry about every day. It’s available in two colorways and is 36% off for a limited time.

    More fitness smart bracelets

There are a lot of reasons to buy the Pjive Health and Fitness Smart Bracelet, including the amazing sale price. It’s not the only option, though. Amazon has one of the widest selections of screenless smart bands, and many of them are quite affordable even at the regular price. We made a list of some of our favorites below that offer all the same benefits as the above model, but in different styles, colors, and price ranges. Take a quick jog through the list and see if any of them catch your eye.
