Why we love this deal
Outdoor lights do more than just illuminate your patio and landscaping areas when the sun has set. They help set the ambiance, taking a basic backyard and turning it into a cozy space to relax, unwind, and enjoy refreshments, a relaxing book, or time with friends and family. The right lighting makes you feel more at home, especially once the sun has set and you’re surrounded by total darkness, and with such beautiful weather to take advantage of before winter, everyone can benefit from a stand like the Govee Outdoor String Lights to help you stay outside as long as possible.
With the right weather-resistant strand, you can illuminate your patio, pool deck, and lawn areas all-year round and know that whether it’s summer or winter, those lights will turn on and stay on, rain, sleet, snow, or sunshine. The Govee Outdoor String Lights, typically a $120 purchase, are now on sale for 42% off for a limited time at Amazon following Amazon’s October Prime Day deals, and they’re just the thing to add some sizzle to your outdoor area.

Why do shoppers love it?
What’s great about these lights is they are designed for all-year use, meaning they can emit a nice, warm glow during warmer months of the year, but easily switch to fun, holiday colors come November and December.
Measuring 96-feet long total, these lights come in two strands, each measuring 48-feet long, with 15 LED bulbs spaced throughout each. Each bulb has 65 lumens of brightness and features individual red green blue (RGB) color control, so you can play around with tons of color combinations. In total, there are 16 million colors to take advantage of, and a dimmable high-brightness warm white light to go back to anytime you want something a bit more muted. You can tailor the lighting yourself and create customized presets, but there are also 111 preset scene modes built in right off the bat. You can choose solid colors, dynamic effects like flashing, fading or pulsing, as well as music-sync modes, holiday themes, like Christmas or Halloween, and seasonal lighting patterns.
Although the lights need to be plugged into an electrical outlet to work, once plugged in you can keep them permanently in a power outlet, and use the timer function, the Govee Home app, or voice control via Alexa or Google Home to turn them on and off if you don’t want to switch the lights on manually via the control box. The timer function lets you set automatic on/off schedules requiring no guidance from you once they are set, but the Govee Home app is more ideal when you’re looking to customize the colors, the brightness, or play around with the preset modes. You can access the app anywhere and change the lights even when you aren’t home.
These lights, which come in two other strand lengths, are designed for the outdoors with an IP66 waterproof rating and a lifespan of 25,000 hours. They are designed to withstand temperatures ranging between -4 degrees Fahrenheit and 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
