Later, when Kimberly lies about a pregnancy to distract Principal Anderson, she peppers in the real detail that her parents are incredibly religious. Towards the end of the season, Kimberly confirms that she distanced herself from Liz after they kissed at summer camp in order to hide her sexuality from her disapproving mom and dad.Despite all of this backstory, Elle has not yet shown what Kimberly is like when she’s not protected in her dark, flannel armor. But it sounds like fans can expect to see a whole new side to the character when Season 2 premieres.
